David Solis - FBI

David Solis

Federal Bureau of Investigation - Resident Agent in Charge

David is currently serving as a Resident Agent in Charge (Regional Director) with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In this role, he has been entrusted with leading all FBI operations in Southern Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys.

David joined the FBI as a new agent at the Washington D.C. Field Office in 2003. His rewarding career started by investigating violent criminal organizations. Unexpectedly, and because of his Spanish language ability, these investigations led him to Central and South America, where he thoroughly enjoyed working with the foreign law enforcement partners. Soon after, he became an instructor with the International Law Enforcement Agency (ILEA), assisting our foreign partners with instruction in crime scene investigation and sophisticated investigative techniques.

The experience he gained working violent organizations, he then applied to investigating a different type of violent criminal, but this time in the field of crimes against children. As a Team Leader with the FBI Evidence Response Team, David traveled the world investigating crimes against US Citizens and facilities. As an FBI Medic, he was trained to help others when needed, something he enjoyed very much. And as a Crisis Manager, he learned how to put it all together when something really bad happens.

In 2010, David received a transfer to the Miami Division, and shortly thereafter a promotion to be Resident Agent in Charge of the FBI offices in Southern Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys. In his current position, David and his team have the opportunity to learn about and investigate almost every crime imaginable, from National Security to Human Trafficking and from Cyber Security to Violent Gangs and everything in between.
